Bikram Yoga–AKA how I Sweat my Face Off.

When I was recovering from minor knee surgery, I stumbled across the idea of doing yoga to strengthen myself, increase my flexibility and hopefully, increase overall fitness in an arena that I’ve never tried.

As luck would have it, I found a groupon for Bikram Baltimore and decided to give it a shot. After last Wednesday, I developed a pain in my right foot, so I’m anxious to run. Decided to give this a shot while Laura was off for the summer (its at 6PM).

Bikram yoga, for the uninitiated, is different from regular yoga. It does some of the same things, stretching, getting in tune with your body, etc, etc. There are just 26 poses that you do, some sitting, some standing, some kneeling. They are always the same. The room is 105 Degrees Farenheit. I sweat like I have never sweat before. It was genuinely difficult in a way that I have never experienced. I don’t know if I’m “into” hot yoga or not, I think its too early to tell. 4 more on the groupon. I will have to do this for a while to see.
